Neil Steinberg is the principal and founder of the Patent Strategy Group.

Mr. Steinberg is the former Vice President of Intellectual Property and General Patent Counsel at Rambus Inc. While at Rambus, Mr. Steinberg was responsible for company-wide intellectual property matters, including strategic patent acquisition, patent and technology licensing and global patent enforcement. Notably, Mr. Steinberg conceived of and implemented Rambus's strategic patent portfolio acquisition, licensing and enforcement programs directed to the memory, memory controller and processor markets. His efforts resulted in significant royalties based on intellectual property transactions with Intel, Toshiba, Hitachi, NEC, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Oki Electric, and Matsushita.

Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Steinberg was Assistant General Patent Counsel, Semiconductor Division, at Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. While at Samsung Electronics, Mr. Steinberg was responsible for worldwide patent licensing and litigation relating to semiconductor products and processes, including memory devices, thin film transistor displays, and high power transistors.

Mr. Steinberg has experience in a broad range of intellectual property matters including domestic and foreign patent portfolio preparation and procurement, patent licensing, and worldwide patent enforcement. Mr. Steinberg combines his intellectual property expertise, engineering background and business experience to design and implement innovative and effective strategies to obtain and capitalize on patents through programs tailored to achieve client objectives.

Mr. Steinberg has practiced in a broad range of technologies, including battery charging systems and techniques, FPGAs and switch interconnect networks, Tensor processors and image processing, semiconductor memory and memory controller design including DRAM and MRAM structures, design and fabrication, MEMS structures and fabrication, portable activity monitoring devices, and telecommunications.

Mr. Steinberg is a Registered Patent Attorney, admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia, and the Bar of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr. Steinberg earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned a JD, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.
